Allied Health Assistant - Gap Year Trainee

About the role

NCN Health, a regional health service in Victoria's Moira Shire, offers a full-time, fixed-term Allied Health Gap Year Trainee position starting in January 2027 and running for 12 months. It is a paid position at $30.0013 per hour plus 12% superannuation, with 80 hours per fortnight. Trainees rotate through a range of Allied Health disciplines and can complete their Certificate IV qualification while working.

Required profile

• Completed Year 12 VCE or VCAL in 2026, with interest in a career in Allied Health
• Commitment to study and complete a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance while working
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to quality patient care
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and communication with staff, patients and families
• Eligible for selection into a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent, and able to complete the required coursework
• Current driver's licence

Required skills

• Competence with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Well-developed computer skills

Mandatory requirements

• Seasonal influenza vaccination
• Satisfactory national criminal history check (less than 6 months old)
• Satisfactory Victorian Working with Children Check
• Satisfactory NDIS worker screening check
• Immunisation in line with infection control guidelines
