Aircraft Aerospace Worker

About the role

Aerospace Structural Contractors is recruiting an Aircraft Aerospace Worker for RAAF Edinburgh in South Australia. The role covers basic aircraft service requirements, including depot maintenance, aircraft wash and lubrication, and trades assistant tasks supporting aircraft and component maintenance. The position is initially for six weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks using the training provided
• Assist Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) and support staff and follow their directions
• Certify all maintenance tasks correctly in the aircraft maintenance documentation

Required profile

• Australian citizenship, required for defence security clearance
• Defence Baseline Security Clearance, or ability to obtain it
• Compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS)
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety procedures
• C class driver's licence
• COVID-19 vaccination proof or approved medical exemption

Desirable criteria

• Previous aircraft maintenance experience
• High Risk Work Licence for EWP and forklift
• Hazardous waste management experience
• Trade qualified background
