Agribusiness Relationship Manager / Business Development

About the role

Agrifunder, now under new Australian ownership, capital and management, is looking for an ambitious Ag professional to grow its presence across Victoria. The role sits in Geelong or regional Victoria and goes beyond managing an existing agri-finance portfolio: you will get into the market, build genuine relationships and develop practical funding solutions that support agricultural businesses. It is a full-time position with a competitive remuneration package.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with agricultural businesses and understand their needs
• Develop practical funding solutions that support their growth
• Get into the market and create opportunities independently
• Make decisions and exercise commercial influence rather than just maintaining a portfolio

Required profile

• Understanding of agriculture and enjoyment of working directly with clients
• Strong commercial instincts and relationship-building skills
• Ability to independently develop a market and create opportunities
• Ambitious, resilient and prepared to back themselves
• Wants greater ownership of their career and influence within the business
• Background in banking, rural finance, livestock or another part of agriculture is helpful but not required
