Agitator Driver / Relief Batcher (FIFO/DIDO)

About the role

Heidelberg Materials is hiring an Agitator Driver / Relief Batcher for its Moranbah plant, working Monday to Friday with some Saturday work as needed. The role involves operating modern trucks with advanced safety technology, route mapping and load tracking, and offers daily variety through agitator driving, batching support, loader work, stock takes and yard duties. It is open to local Moranbah residents, those willing to relocate, and DIDO candidates from surrounding regions, with FIFO arrangements possible for exceptional applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Filling in for the batcher in charge when required
• Operating the front-end loader (for those with a ticket or experience)
• Completing stock takes and performing pre-start checks
• Loading and delivering concrete as an agitator driver
• Yard duties including cleaning of trucks and general site maintenance
• Supporting purchasing activities
• Ensuring safety and quality procedures are followed at all times

Required profile

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence (essential for the driving component)
• Current Construction White Card, or willingness to obtain one
• Good computer skills; SAP or batching experience is beneficial but not essential
• External operator experience for maintenance or heavy TFRs preferred but not essential
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, ability to adapt to change and follow procedures
• Safety-first attitude and commitment to keeping a clean, presentable truck

What we offer

• Hourly rate of $32.61 to $36.39 depending on experience
• Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours and double time after 10 hours
