After Hours Security and Support Officer

About the role

CatholicCare NT is recruiting an After Hours Site Security and Support Officer for its Crerar Road accommodation site in Berrimah, which runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The site provides predominantly Indigenous accommodation, including a 190-bed shared hostel, as well as renal and homeless accommodation. The officer is responsible for the safety, security and smooth operation of the site.

Required profile

• Security licence and Certificate II in Security Operations
• First Aid certificate and Food Safety certificate, or willingness to obtain them
• Experience working in a 24/7 shift role in a relevant environment
• Knowledge of work health and safety practices, including incident reporting
• High level of interpersonal and communication skills and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and resolve conflict calmly and professionally, especially under pressure
