Security Officer – Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

About the role

Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital, is recruiting a permanent full-time Security Officer (38 hours per week) to protect the property and assets of all properties and lands served by its Security Services. The officer works across the whole RPAH campus, including the Emergency Department and the wards, and forms part of the clinical team with an emphasis on front-line customer service and building relationships with patients and their relatives. Two positions are available: a general RPAH Security Officer and a Professor Marie Bashir Centre (Mental Health) Security Officer who acts as concierge and responder to the Mental Health Unit.

Required profile

• Current Security Licence (1A)
• NSW driver licence (P1 and P2 acceptable)
• First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, follow directions and work without close supervision
• Ability to perform shift work on a 24/7 rotating basis

Required skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Intermediate level computer operating skills
