Advisor, Sustainability

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Sustainability Advisor to own sustainability reporting and strategy on a major rail project in South East Queensland. You will embed sustainability across key design milestones and delivery while accessing mentoring programs and leadership development pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned to project objectives.
• Embed sustainability in design and construction with project teams.
• Monitor and report sustainability performance, compliance and financial value.
• Identify and implement carbon, waste and resource efficiency opportunities.
• Conduct sustainability audits and align the project with ISC and Green Star standards.
• Engage community groups, the client and stakeholders on sustainability outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree in sustainability, architecture, engineering or science.
• Construction industry experience in a sustainability-focused role.
• Knowledge of sustainability legislation and the ISC Rating Scheme.

Required skills

• Carbon reduction expertise.
• Data analysis.
• Technical reporting.
• Lead auditor training or experience.
• Sustainability audit execution.
