ACEM Trainee (TS2 / TS3) - Emergency Medicine

About the role

Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) offers ACEM-accredited emergency medicine training across its private hospital emergency departments in Queensland and Western Australia. It is recruiting ACEM trainees for Stage 2 (TS2) and Stage 3 (TS3) positions at The Mater Private Emergency Departments in Townsville and Brisbane, and at Hollywood Private Hospital in Perth. Trainees can complete both stages within one PEHA contract, moving between sites without changing employers.

Key responsibilities

• Complete TS2 and/or TS3 training in a private emergency department, with 24/7 exposure and genuine 1:1 teaching and procedural opportunities.
• Work a roster of predictable shifts that allow time for Fellowship exam study.
• Build case mix alongside public rotations, including cardiology, orthopaedic, general and colorectal surgical, and oncology presentations.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the ACEM Training Program, currently at or approaching Training Stage 2 or Stage 3.
• Currently registered with AHPRA.
• A collaborative, hands-on clinician who enjoys a close-knit private ED team.
