Accountant – Tax & Financial Services

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Accountant role is based in Parafield Gardens, South Australia. You will deliver day‑to‑day accounting and taxation services for a network of small‑business and individual clients, supporting them to achieve optimal financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and process bookkeeping entries.
• Complete and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
• Prepare and lodge individual and small‑business tax returns.
• Advise clients on tax planning, compliance and value‑added strategies.
• Liaise directly with clients, respond to technical queries and maintain accurate client records.
• Support practice development by assisting workflow improvements and contributing to service offerings.
• Help build long‑term client relationships under the Success Tax Professionals brand.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting and taxation expertise, including BAS/IAS and tax return preparation.
• Proficiency with accounting and tax software, general ledger systems, and Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Solid understanding of current Australian tax legislation and accounting standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple client files and meet deadlines.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field; progress toward CA/CPA is highly regarded.
• Previous public practice experience, especially with small‑business and individual clients, is beneficial.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in training seminars.
