Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of one of the NRL's most iconic clubs. This hands‑on position involves monthly reporting, reconciliations, compliance and statutory responsibilities, contributing directly to the club's financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Manage compliance obligations, including BAS/GST returns.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Support audit processes and assist with budget preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• CA/CPA qualified or working toward completion.
• 3‑5 years post‑graduate accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and proactive mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience in a similar role; familiarity with sports or non‑profit organisations is a plus.
