Account Manager - Steel Building Products

About the role

BlueScope's Lysaght business, which has manufactured and marketed steel building products since 1921, is looking for an Account Manager to join its sales team in Hume, ACT. The role is customer-facing and involves nurturing and growing relationships with key customers, with mentored development of sales strategies aimed at profitable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen partnerships with existing customers and identify new business opportunities in the Canberra residential segment
• Run a purposeful call planning cycle and hold face-to-face client meetings to build profitable business with new and existing clients
• Maintain customer and sales activity through consistent use of Salesforce
• Work with internal teams to fulfil and exceed customer needs
• Carry out price maintenance activities and database management

Required profile

• Highly driven, with strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to negotiate, influence and build credibility with customers
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Desirable: building products, construction or industrial industry experience

Required skills

• Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system (desirable)
