Account Manager – Public Sector Insurance

About the role

The Account Manager will develop relationships and enhance experiences for a portfolio of public‑sector clients in South Australia. You will advise on risk management and risk transfer solutions while ensuring compliance and supporting claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client accounts proactively, meeting service standards and identifying needs.
• Grow the existing portfolio with new products and identify new business opportunities.
• Advocate for clients in claims, ensuring equitable settlements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to less‑experienced brokers.
• Travel across South Australia to meet clients and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision makers.

Required profile

• Relevant experience as an insurance broker in public sector or corporate servicing.
• Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Strong knowledge of insurance broking principles, products and services.
• Good negotiation, report writing and business letter writing skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of risk management practices.
• Understanding of sales and marketing principles applied to the insurance market.
