Account Manager II

About the role

Clariant, a Swiss-based global specialty chemicals company, is hiring an Account Manager II in Melbourne, Australia, on a hybrid basis. The role manages Heart and Belly customers and distributor management for the PHC Distributor in Australia and New Zealand, with close contact with Procurement, R&D and Product Development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall relationships and the growth and satisfaction of the account
• Handle contracts, pricing and overdue management
• Develop customer demand insights and grow share of wallet through bids and tenders
• Proactively mitigate churn risks
• Manage the CRM customer and NBD pipeline with Business Development, and deliver accurate, timely sales forecasts
• Work in a team of CSM, BD, CSD and/or GBS, where BD drives new business and CSD/GBS handle order management and deliveries

Required profile

• Degree in Science, Pharmaceuticals, Engineering or Management
• 7 to 10 years of experience with a proven record in commercial and sales management
• Sales drive and achievement motivation, business acumen and commercial creativity
• Collaboration, adaptability, resilience and agility, with the ability to inspire customer confidence and deliver results
