Account Manager - Construction Insurance

About the role

Gallagher, a global leader in insurance broking, risk management and consulting, is looking for an experienced Account Manager in Brisbane to manage a significant portfolio of construction clients. The role takes a proactive approach to account management and service delivery within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand their insurable risks, design tailored insurance solutions and negotiate the best deals in the global insurance market
• Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriting partners
• Manage your own budget, sales plan and debtors
• Mentor and coach junior team members
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities
• Represent the Gallagher brand locally, regionally and nationally

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience
• License required
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally with mid to large construction accounts
• Proven track record of delivering financial and operational results
• Preferred: professional designation such as CPCU, CIC or ARM

Required skills

• Strong account management experience in construction insurance
• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to build a long-term pipeline
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
