Account Executive – Public Sector (Australia)

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an experienced Account Executive to lead its entry into the Australian public‑sector market. You will champion the adoption of safe, frontier AI technologies across government agencies, acting as a trusted advisor and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Anthropic’s market entry and expansion in the Australian public sector, building relationships with key stakeholders across government departments and agencies.
• Own the full sales cycle for public‑sector opportunities, from outreach to successful deployment, focusing on long‑term strategic partnerships.
• Navigate Australian government procurement requirements, security standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with policy teams to align with national AI strategies and initiatives.
• Design and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to the public‑sector environment, meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
• Provide market intelligence and feedback to product teams to ensure offerings meet public‑sector needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with systems integrators and technology partners in Australia.
• Create best‑practice playbooks for public‑sector engagement and share insights across the broader team.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise sales experience in the Australian public sector with a proven record of driving adoption of emerging technologies.
• Deep understanding of Australian government procurement processes, security requirements, and technology adoption frameworks.
• Security clearance(s) required.
• Demonstrated ability to build and grow new market segments and potential to evolve into a leadership role.
• Strong track record of managing complex sales cycles and securing strategic public‑sector deals.
