3-Day Home Educator (ECEC) - Narre Warren

About the role

A family in Narre Warren, Victoria is seeking a warm, engaging and adaptable educator to provide high-quality care and learning experiences in their home. The position is three days per week, with a child aged 2 years, and the educator chooses the days. The family is immunocompromised, so good hygiene and openness about health matters.

Key responsibilities

• Create fun, age-appropriate activities that support the child's development and help them reach growth and learning milestones.
• Take the child out into the local community, including trips to the park, library story time, playgroup and other suitable activities.
• Maintain a consistent routine while remaining flexible; medication can sometimes affect the child's mood, behaviour or energy, so plans may need to be adjusted calmly and patiently.
• Keep excellent hygiene practices and report openly if unwell or exposed to illness.

Required profile

• Working towards or holding a Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or another IHC-relevant ACECQA-approved qualification such as a Bachelor of Primary Education, and registered with the relevant state authority.
• At least 3 references.
• WWCC, police check, CPR and HLTAID012 First Aid.
• Car and driver's licence.
• Willingness to commit for at least 12 months and full working rights in Australia (visas such as 190 or 186 may be considered; 417 and 462 visa holders should not apply).

What we offer

• Pay of $41.94-$47.28 per hour including tax and super, depending on level L1-L3.
• The employer handles insurance and workcover costs and processes tax and super payments.
