1:1 Special Education Teacher (R-6)

About the role

Murray Bridge North School is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Special Education Teacher to support a student in Years R‑6 who experiences ongoing social and emotional challenges, including complex behavioural incidents. You will join a vibrant school community of around 600 students that celebrates cultural diversity and strong ties with the Aboriginal community.

Key responsibilities

• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment where the student can thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the South Australian Curriculum for R‑6.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and the broader school community to support the student’s progress.
• Assess student learning, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Experience delivering curriculum‑based instruction for primary students.
