1 on 1 Scrabble Volunteer - Aged Care

About the role

An older resident of an aged care facility in Macquarie Centre, NSW, is looking for a volunteer to play Scrabble and chat with her. She is bright, quick-witted and enjoys the challenge of finding the right word, and she values the company of a patient, friendly person. Visits are 30 minutes long, held weekly or fortnightly after 10:00am on weekdays, and the organisation is happy to work around your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Play Scrabble with the resident and enjoy friendly competition and good conversation
• Visit regularly, either weekly or every two weeks, for 30 minutes
• Be patient and friendly while spending time with the resident

Required profile

• 18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Availability for a 30-minute visit between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday
