Workshop Foreman - Earthmoving Equipment

About the role

Brooks Hire, a family-owned hire company founded in 1979 with branches across Australia and a fleet of over 5,500 machines, is looking for a Workshop Foreman for its Broome, WA branch. You will lead the workshop, handle the servicing and maintenance of earthmoving equipment and build your own team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate workshop operations, servicing and maintenance
• Perform mechanical diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs
• Coordinate equipment dispatch so machinery is ready when needed
• Monitor parts and stock, including stocktakes
• Liaise with customers and internal teams to keep jobs moving
• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship and housekeeping

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics (essential)
• At least 3 years' experience as a Plant Mechanic
• Experience managing a team
• Solid knowledge of heavy duty equipment and competence in routine maintenance
• Driver's licence; HR preferred
• Forklift and high-risk work licences desirable; branch management experience desirable
• Ability to pass a medical, including a drug and alcohol test
