WHS Business Partner - Home Care

About the role

Care Connect, a not-for-profit organisation supporting people to live independently at home, is looking for an experienced WHS Business Partner to join its People & Culture team. The role helps build a strong, proactive safety culture across a diverse workforce, including staff delivering care and services in client homes and across the community.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a proactive approach to injury prevention, safety and wellbeing
• Provide practical WHS guidance to office-based and field teams
• Develop, implement and continuously improve WHS policies, procedures and tools
• Lead workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure ongoing compliance
• Deliver WHS training, education and resources
• Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work plans
• Contribute to and lead WHS and People & Culture initiatives and projects

Required profile

• Relevant WHS qualifications and hands-on experience
• Proven ability to support a distributed, field-based workforce
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Solutions-focused approach to safety and risk management
• Experience in health, aged care or community services highly regarded
• Australian working rights, a Working with Children Check and a current Police Check (the employer can support with this)
