Weekend Chef and Weekday Cook - Aged Care

About the role

Estia Health, an aged care provider with 96 homes across Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria, is looking for a Weekend Chef and a Weekday Cook in its Mount Coolum kitchen. You will help deliver exceptional service to residents so that their meal experience is to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• As Chef: join a team of food creators focused on excellent food and nutrition tailored to individual and diverse needs; create a warm, welcoming environment for residents to enjoy meals together; prepare nutritious, healthy meals that bring delight to residents.
• As Cook: work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management; tailor meals to individual needs and preferences; support the wider kitchen team in delivering a memorable dining experience.

Required profile

• Experience in a commercial kitchen.
• A relevant cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
• Attention to food handling and hygiene standards, and the ability to adapt menus to diverse individual needs.
• Ability to train and mentor kitchen team members to the expected standards (for the Chef).
