Water Resources Engineer

About the role

Join KBR’s Water Resources team in Melbourne and work on a variety of challenging projects, from catchment flood modelling to major infrastructure design. You will collaborate with national experts and have opportunities to lead projects and manage work‑winning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic investigations and design for flood studies, transport and mine infrastructure, floodplain management, water balance modelling, stormwater and mine water management.
• Support delivery of water resources projects nationally and provide technical expertise to engineering and environment teams.
• Develop strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality technical models and reports.
• Perform TUFLOW/HEC‑RAS modelling and manage related projects.

Required profile

• Experience or exposure to flood risk management, waterway design, wetland design, dams, retarding basins, or major drainage assets.
• Ability to work on strategy, design and delivery, including GIS mapping, flood modelling, bids, proposals and mentoring junior staff.
