Water Cart Operator - Underground Mining

About the role

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is looking for a Water Cart Operator to support its underground mining operations. The role is open to multiple sites across Western Australia, where you will operate the water truck and other equipment safely.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the water truck and other equipment in a safe manner.
• Carry out machine start-up, operation and shutdown.
• Follow directions from supervisors regarding the required work area.
• Fill the truck tank with water and spray water in designated areas.
• Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels and mechanical fitness.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Water Cart Operator in underground mining.
• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow detailed mine plans.
• Proof of working rights in Australia; successful candidates must also meet pre-employment requirements including medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening and a valid National Police Clearance.
