Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

Covetrus is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join its Bohle team in Townsville on a full‑time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, APAC, you will oversee the dispatch, receipt and management of goods within the distribution centre, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a small team of warehouse staff, handling recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development.
• Maintain safe work practices, provide training and ensure compliance with legislative standards.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain Director to optimise work processes and procedures.
• Coordinate cycle counts, stock takes, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Set budget guidelines, manage headcount and review remuneration structures.
• Oversee maintenance of warehouse facilities, security, and overall premises upkeep.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high‑volume warehouse environment.
• Previous experience in healthcare operations (pharmaceuticals, animal health or medical devices) is desirable.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a high‑performance team.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Freight Management Systems.
• Familiarity with warehouse tracking and operational software packages.
