Warehouse Manager – Healthcare Distributor

About the role

A well-established national healthcare distributor supplying B2B customers across Australia is recruiting a Warehouse Manager for its Sydney distribution centre. The site is high-volume and high-compliance, with tens of thousands of active SKUs and a workforce of 120-150 people across multiple shifts. The business is growing and plans to move to a new purpose-built facility in Western Sydney with a new WMS.

The manager leads 6-8 supervisors covering inbound, inventory control, dispatch and AM/PM pick-pack, and runs the entire warehouse operation. It suits a hands-on leader comfortable managing a large team and driving efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end warehouse operations across inbound, receiving, inventory, dispatch and pick-pack
• Coach and develop a long-serving Supervisor team, embed SOPs and build accountability
• Own labour planning and productivity across a multi-shift operation
• Manage site capacity and overflow arrangements over the coming months
• Maintain strict adherence to the Code of Good Warehousing Practice (GWP), compliance and safety standards
• Work constructively with a unionised workforce and support the business through EBA processes
• Contribute to planning the move to the new site and the WMS implementation
• Drive continuous improvement and keep operational reporting accurate and timely

Required profile

• Proven experience running an entire warehouse or DC operation at Warehouse Manager or DC Manager level
• Experience in high-SKU, high-volume, fast-moving environments is highly regarded
• Strong coaching ability and a track record of lifting supervisor capability
• Experience with RF-scanning WMS platforms; Manhattan experience is a bonus
• Warehouse relocation or fit-out experience is highly advantageous
