Project Coordinator - Airfreight Logistics

About the role

A fast-growing international freight forwarder with offices in Brisbane and Sydney is expanding a major project and is looking for a Project Coordinator in the Sydney area. You will work closely with an existing operator and coordinate the movement of freight across Australia, from origin to final delivery. This is a relatively new position created to support a growing project, with further stages planned.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate national inland transport movements across Australia.
• Manage depot coordination, container movements and loadouts.
• Organise deliveries and freight movements into airline terminals.
• Coordinate daily airfreight volumes and dedicated aircraft charters.
• Oversee general product and logistics management on behalf of a major customer.
• Liaise with transport providers, depots, terminals and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor shipments, manage priorities and ensure timelines are met.
• Provide hands-on operational and project coordination support as the project scales.

Required profile

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transport or project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of export operations, including container movements and airfreight charters.
• Ability to communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to take ownership, work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
