Waiter, Barista – Corporate Catering

About the role

Brookfield is looking for a waiter and barista to provide catering and barista services at its headquarters, Brookfield Place in Sydney (10 Carrington Street). The role serves staff and external clients in 13 front-of-house meeting rooms across two floors during business hours and after hours, including boardroom meetings, formal lunches, staff training events and partner events.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional workplace catering and barista service to clients, management and staff.
• Serve the 13 meeting rooms with tea, coffee and water, and set them up and clear them between meetings.
• Action catering requests from business representatives.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers on catering orders and recommend new suppliers that meet value, quality and delivery criteria.
• Monitor stock levels in the catering kitchen and order supplies; manage expenses and reconcile monthly AMEX card purchases.
• Send monthly staff birthday morning teas and Friday night drinks invitations.
• Accommodate ad-hoc after-hours events, including space setup, catering orders and waiter service.
