Volunteer Social Visitor - Residential Aged Care, North Turramurra

About the role

HammondCare, an independent Christian charity providing the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government, is looking for volunteers in North Turramurra to spend time with older residents. As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will offer companionship and meaningful social interaction, one-on-one or in small groups, sharing whatever you enjoy with someone who enjoys it too.

Key responsibilities

• Visit residents regularly to provide companionship and social interaction
• Share interests such as sport, art, pets, gardening, walking, yoga, baking, crafts, movies, music, coffee or crosswords
• Meet residents individually or in small groups

Required profile

• 18 years or older
• NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Availability for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday, either weekly or fortnightly depending on availability
