Volunteer Community Transport Driver

About the role

Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) is seeking volunteer community transport drivers to help older people and people living with disability access medical appointments, shopping, social activities and family and friends. The role is available across weekdays, evenings and weekends, and can be done for a few hours each week or on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, respectful, door-to-door transport for older adults and people living with disability
• Help people access appointments, shopping and social activities
• Work closely with Transport Coordinators
• Contribute to reducing social isolation

Required profile

• Friendly, reliable and respectful, with good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Committed to supporting their community and able to follow CRCS policies and procedures
• Willing to complete the screening and checks required for the role
• Current driver's licence, access to a safe and roadworthy vehicle, and a 10-year driving history from Access Canberra
