Vocational Trainer and Assessor (Agriculture)

About the role

We are seeking a permanent full‑time Vocational Trainer and Assessor to join the Western Australian College of Agriculture in Narrogin from Term 3 2026. The role focuses on designing, delivering, assessing and validating training packages for the Farm section, supporting Year 10‑12 students in a commercial livestock and cropping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality vocational training programs aligned with industry standards.
• Deliver classroom and on‑farm instruction to teenage learners.
• Assess and validate student achievements and ensure compliance with the RTO framework.
• Manage a team of Training Officers and coordinate with the Farm Manager, Assistant Farm Manager and Head of Trades.
• Work closely with the RTO Manager to oversee qualification pathways and reporting.

Required profile

• Level 5 Vocational Trainer and Assessor qualification.
• Current Cert IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent TAESS Assessor Skills Set.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or valid work visa.
• Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.

Required skills

• Strong communication and instructional skills for teenage learners.
• Knowledge of agricultural practices and willingness to attain Certificate II and III in Agriculture.
