Veterinary Nurse - Sunshine Coast Locum

About the role

Greencross is looking for an experienced and adaptable Casual Locum Veterinary Nurse to support its clinics across the Sunshine Coast region, including Caloundra, Kawana Waters, Maroochydore and potentially Noosa GP and Urgent Care. The role suits someone who enjoys variety, flexible casual work and the chance to work with different teams and case types.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, treatments and procedures
• Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
• Monitor anaesthesia and support patient recovery
• Administer medications and treatments
• Collect blood samples and perform diagnostic testing
• Provide hospital and inpatient nursing care
• Support urgent and emergency presentations when required
• Maintain patient records and treatment plans
• Deliver client communication and education
• Support reception and administrative duties when needed
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
• Confident across medical, surgical and hospital nursing, with strong anaesthetic monitoring skills
• Willing to travel between Sunshine Coast clinic locations
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
