Veterinary Nurse – Casual/Part‑Time

About the role

Greencross Vets Minchinbury is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse for casual or part‑time work, primarily on Fridays with additional coverage for leave and busy periods. The role offers flexibility and the chance to work in a supportive, fast‑paced small‑animal clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake general nursing duties, surgical preparation and post‑operative care.
• Monitor anaesthesia, patient recovery and provide emergency/critical care support.
• Perform pathology collection, diagnostic testing and minor procedures.
• Assist veterinarians during consultations, procedures and with client communication.
• Support reception duties, maintain clinic hygiene and equipment.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 + years clinical veterinary nursing experience.
• Strong animal handling, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, flexible and reliable.

Required skills

• Confidence in monitoring anaesthetics and surgical patients.
• Experience with RxWorks (desirable but not essential).
