Valuation Analyst - Plant & Equipment

About the role

JLL is seeking a technically strong, analytically driven Analyst to join its Public Sector Valuations (PSV) team, with an interest in plant and equipment valuations. The role uses advanced financial modelling and market research to deliver high-quality valuation advice for complex public sector assets, working closely with the wider PSV team so that valuations are both compliant and supported by robust data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain complex financial models supporting valuation conclusions across asset classes.
• Run detailed sensitivity and scenario analysis to assess risk and inform client decisions.
• Use advanced Excel functions, macros and data visualisation to streamline analysis and improve report accuracy.
• Review and validate financial inputs and assumptions from clients or third parties, ensuring logical consistency and market realism.
• Analyse market evidence to support defensible, data-driven valuation arguments.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of complex valuations for financial reporting.
• Draft clear, concise and professional valuation reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 1-5 years of relevant experience in property, plant and equipment valuations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Valuation Standards (API/IVS) and/or USPAP.
• Keen interest in plant and equipment and financial reporting valuations.
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex valuation concepts clearly to clients.
• Candidates with more experience may be considered for a Senior Analyst role.
• Preferred: current membership of the Australian Property Institute (API) and/or the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).
