US Tax Director – Remote (Australia based)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing US tax advisory firm, is looking for a US Tax Director to lead its US individual and private client tax practice from Australia. The role is remote and offers the chance to shape the service offering, drive business development and work closely with senior leaders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development through referrals, partnerships and inbound opportunities.
• Serve as the lead advisor to high‑net‑worth and internationally mobile clients.
• Expand and shape the private‑client service offering.
• Leverage the firm’s AI and automation investments to scale delivery and streamline compliance.
• Provide high‑level advice on complex US individual and cross‑border tax issues.
• Collaborate with the founders on growth strategy and market positioning.

Required profile

• Strong background in US individual and cross‑border personal tax.
• Proven track record in client development or revenue growth.
• Confident, outward‑facing advisor with strong commercial instincts.
• Interest in technology‑enabled tax delivery and innovation.
• CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
