About the role
Catalyst Metals is seeking an Underground Project Geologist to join its underground mine operation on an 8‑day on‑site, 6‑day off roster. The role focuses on grade‑control modelling, data quality and real‑time geological decision‑making to support up to six months of production planning.
Key responsibilities
- Own, coordinate and execute geology grade‑control modelling and related drilling activities.
- Mentor and coach Underground Mine Geologists and Geology Technicians.
- Contribute to short‑, medium‑ and long‑term mine plans and schedules.
- Monitor face and drill sample quality and address QA/QC issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science in Geology.
- Current WA “C” class driver’s licence (manual preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ mining experience, including underground production and basic resource modelling.
Required skills
- 3D modelling software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac.
- Microsoft Office, logging software and GIS packages.
- Strong ability to maintain best‑practice geological and environmental standards.
