Underground HD Fitter

About the role

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is recruiting HD Fitters to support its underground mining operations across Australia. The role covers a range of underground maintenance activities on a large and diverse fleet of machines and equipment, with sites throughout Western Australia on various rosters.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on underground heavy mining equipment
• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs
• Inspect, service and change components to manufacturer and site standards
• Complete pre-start checks so equipment is safe and compliant for operation
• Record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards
• Work with operators and supervisors to minimise machine downtime

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HD Fitter
• Trade qualification
• Ability to meet site access requirements, including medical, DAS, NPC and a valid manual driver's licence
• Proof of working rights in Australia
