Underground Charge Up Operator

About the role

Evolution Mining is hiring a Charge Up Operator for its Northparkes underground mine in NSW, reporting to the Underground Mining Supervisor. The current sub-level cave offers a 10-year mine life including five years of development mining, followed by a pipeline of future projects. The role keeps development and production headings charged up safely and efficiently, on a 7/7 roster covering days and nights.

Key responsibilities

• Charge up development and production headings
• Handle, transport and store explosives safely and efficiently
• Follow site blasting and evacuation procedures
• Prepare blast holes to reduce misfires
• Keep safety front and centre for yourself and your crew

Required profile

• Based in Parkes or keen to move there
• At least 12 months' experience in a similar underground role
• Current "C" class driver's licence
• Safety-focused mindset

Required skills

• Blasting Explosives User Licence
• Working at Heights ticket
• Security clearance to handle explosives
