Two-Up Drivers & Guides – 2027 Season

About the role

Journey Beyond operates Outback Spirit Tours, which offers adventure tours and luxury short stays across Australia, including eight lodges in remote locations. For the 2027 touring season (mainly March to October 2027), the company is recruiting passionate, professional duos of drivers and guides to share special places and shape lasting memories for guests. Accommodation and meals are provided for the full season.

Required profile

• Medium rigid licence or higher (essential for drivers, desirable for guides)
• Commercial passenger endorsement (essential for drivers, desirable for guides)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification valid for 12 months
• Food handling certificate
• Required guiding accreditations for specific locations such as Uluru-Kata Tjuta and Kakadu
• Comfortable working in remote environments and adapting to seasonal conditions
• Previous on-road tour experience is highly regarded but not essential; candidates who can show strong customer service, a willingness to learn and a passion for the outback are welcome

Required skills

• Heavy vehicle and off-road driving experience (highly regarded)
• Exceptional verbal communication skills and high presentation standards
• Problem-solving abilities that ensure an exceptional guest experience
