Travelling Operations Officer - Remote First Nations Communities

About the role

Randstad, partnering with ALPA (Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation), is recruiting a Travelling Operations Officer to provide leave and vacancy relief across key positions in Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. The role supports the delivery of the NIAA's Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) program and involves frequent travel between ALPA communities by 4WD or light aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Provide critical relief for Site Managers, Employment Consultants, Activity Coordinators and Project Coordinators.
• Support the delivery of the RAES program.
• Travel frequently to different ALPA communities by 4WD or light aircraft.
• Adapt quickly to new community settings and living conditions.
• Manage resources, including time, travel logistics and community engagement activities.
• Maintain strong communication with teams to set clear expectations and foster collaboration.
• Uphold work health and safety standards by identifying risks proactively.

Required profile

• Educational background in human, social or community services.
• Proven experience as an Employment Consultant, Site Manager or Activity Coordinator within the RAES/CDP system.
• Strong interpersonal ability and respect for the cultural heritage, dignity and aspirations of First Nations communities.
• Previous experience with First Nations people or in the Northern Territory is highly regarded.
• Willingness to obtain a WWC, manual driver's licence and First Aid certificate.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Problem-solving skills in dynamic, remote work environments.
