Transport Services Coordinator

About the role

St John WA, a not-for-profit healthcare provider serving Western Australia since 1922, is looking for a Transport Services Coordinator for its Patient & Community Transport Services department. The role is permanent and full-time, with part-time availability for the right candidate, working 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday between 6:00 and 19:00. It centres on delivering excellent customer service by taking patient transport bookings accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to all calls, ensuring telephone and online bookings are prioritised
• Resolve booking issues using problem-solving skills and initiative, meeting service delivery and efficiency goals
• Negotiate and confirm bookings with customers to improve scheduling efficiency and service utilisation
• Provide clear, accurate and timely information about PaCTS services and proactively promote them to increase transport volumes and revenue
• Help the PaCTS team meet KPIs and sales targets through good customer service and product knowledge

Required profile

• Essential: experience in a high-volume call centre and previous sales and customer experience
• Desirable: familiarity with or knowledge of the WA health system
• Strong problem-solving, organisational and attention-to-detail skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to adapt to and use various computer applications, including corporate information systems and MS Office, to an intermediate level
• Ability to organise, multi-task and prioritise workload
