Transport Operations Team Leader

About the role

Super Retail Group is seeking a Transport Operations Team Leader to lead and oversee transport operations across the business, ensuring safe, timely and cost‑effective movement of goods. The role is based at the Brendale Support Office and operates in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance through budgeting, contract reviews and cost tracking.
• Lead a team of Transport Operations Controllers to deliver high‑quality, efficient and safe transport solutions.
• Partner with distribution centre operations, compliance teams and suppliers to ensure seamless planning and execution.
• Monitor service levels using data insights, resolve issues quickly and champion process improvement.
• Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport operations across multi‑modal freight, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain operations and relevant legislation (Chain of Responsibility).
• High business acumen with confidence in budgets, P&L and financial insights.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience leading change initiatives and improving operational KPIs.

Required skills

• Knowledge of transport legislation and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
• Ability to analyse data and translate KPIs into actionable improvements.
