Transport Manager – Pick Up & Delivery Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to lead our Pick Up and Delivery (PUD) operations in Kewdale, WA. This senior leadership position is responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant transport services while delivering strong customer outcomes and financial results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day PUD transport operations, ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Deliver budgets, KPIs and business plans aligned with company strategy.
• Optimise fleet, workforce and assets to improve profitability.
• Monitor daily performance, review branch P&L and drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a customer‑first culture, resolve service issues and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Lead, develop and engage frontline teams, overseeing performance, succession and HR/IR compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Heavy Vehicle legislation and HSE requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and fleet performance, reducing costs and improving asset utilisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport, logistics or freight operations leadership.
• Strong background managing frontline operational teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid understanding of transport compliance, CoR and Heavy Vehicle legislation.
• Experience managing operational budgets and contributing to P&L performance.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commitment to safety, service excellence and continuous improvement.
