Transaction Services Senior Consultant - Financial Due Diligence

About the role

PwC Australia is recruiting a Transaction Services Senior Consultant in its Advisory line of service, based in Sydney. The role brings financial due diligence, analytical and commercial expertise to help clients navigate complex transactions, working with private equity firms, infrastructure investors, ASX-listed companies and large private businesses across sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver commercially relevant financial due diligence insights and high-quality reports supporting major transactions
• Provide financial analysis across buy-side and sell-side engagements, identifying business drivers and risk factors
• Understand client businesses to identify key value drivers and give actionable insights
• Leverage PwC's technologies, including AI and advanced analytics, to improve client experience and grow digital expertise
• Work closely with senior leaders and coach and give constructive feedback to junior team members

Required profile

• Team player with a positive "can do" mindset who thrives under pressure across multiple engagements
• Background in transaction services, assurance services (e.g. external audit), corporate finance or valuations
• Ability to analyse complex financial information and explain findings clearly to clients, stakeholders and colleagues
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to market trends
• Integrity and strong interpersonal skills
• Professional accounting qualifications and/or degree in commerce/finance, CA/CPA, CFA, MBA, Masters in Finance or similar

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools and emerging technologies in financial analysis
• Preferred: Alteryx, data analysis, budget analysis, business valuations, carve-outs, cash flow analysis, earnings quality, compliance with accounting standards
