Trainer & Assessor

About the role

Workforce Training Centre WA, a registered training organisation (RTO #52729) of Linkforce, is looking for a skilled, student-centred Trainer and Assessor to join its Kewdale Training Centre. The position is full-time and permanent, working Monday to Friday, and offers a supportive team with onboarding and support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, practical and compliant accredited and non-accredited training programs
• Run courses such as Work Safely at Heights, Enter and work in a Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres, Fire Safety, Manual Handling, HRWL training and assessment, practical VOC assessments, refresher training and leadership and foundation skills training as required
• Maintain current industry knowledge, compliance and collaborative practices to support quality training outcomes
• Support quality assurance, validation and compliance to protect training quality and assessment integrity
• Help develop, review and maintain training resources so learners can achieve job-ready outcomes

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/40122 or equivalent)
• Recent mining industry experience, required to deliver AQF Level 2/3 units and above
• Supervisory experience
• Experience delivering safety-focused training, preferably in the mining sector (desirable)
• Industry qualifications at the level being delivered or above

Required skills

• WorkSafe Accredited Assessor across HRWL classes (desirable)
• BHP endorsed Practical Assessment accredited Assessor (desirable)
