About the role
JK Williams is seeking a motivated Trainee Surveyor to join its surveying team in Penrith. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maths, technology and wants hands‑on experience on civil construction sites.
Key responsibilities
- Review design information (both hard copy and digital) to plan daily set‑out activities.
- Perform surveying and set‑out of civil projects on‑site, adhering to the Integrated Management System (WHS, Quality and Environment).
Required profile
- Strong planning, organising and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work well in a small team and independently without supervision.
- Confident computer skills.
Required skills
- Experience or familiarity with surveying software such as Trimble Business Center, Topcon (Magnet), Propeller, 12D, VisionLink or Civil CAD.
- Working towards a Cert IV in Surveying (or willing to start one).
- Valid White Card (WHS Industry Induction) and Australian driver’s licence.
