Trade Account Manager - Western Suburbs

About the role

Mitre 10 is seeking a driven Trade Account Manager to grow its presence across Sydney's Western Suburbs. This is a true field-based sales role: you will build your own territory, meet builders, contractors and trade professionals, and turn prospects into loyal trade customers. The position sits within Hudson's Mitre 10, part of the Total Tools Hardware Group and a wholly owned entity of Metcash Limited.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and win new trade customers across your territory
• Build relationships with builders, contractors and trade professionals
• Generate opportunities through networking, referrals, site visits and cold calling
• Manage the sales cycle from first contact through to account activation
• Prepare quotes, negotiate outcomes and deliver tailored solutions
• Grow market share, expand customer spend and exceed sales targets

Required profile

• Proven success in business development, territory sales or account acquisition
• Confidence prospecting, negotiating and closing new business
• A strong track record of building customer relationships and driving growth
• Experience in hardware, timber, building materials, construction or a related industry (highly regarded)
• Self-motivated, results-driven and able to work autonomously
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory
