Track Construction Supervisor - Metro Rail

About the role

Coordinate track‑building crews and subcontractors across a major metropolitan rail construction programme, working at multiple Sydney sites. Lead safe site delivery, manage production planning and ensure designs are implemented correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily and weekly production, contribute to short‑term methods and schedules.
• Lead safe site delivery and control risks before work begins.
• Review drawings and constructability, implement approved designs.
• Monitor budgets, subcontract performance, progress and shift‑handover reporting.
• Develop leading hands and maintain effective consultation on safety and workforce matters.

Required profile

• Trade qualification or comparable building/construction training.
• Demonstrated track‑construction experience, including top‑down track slab construction.
• Substantial trade and construction experience on major rail or infrastructure projects.
• Technical ability to interpret drawings and review construction methods.
• Strong safety leadership and experience managing direct labour, suppliers and subcontractors.
