Territory Manager, Surgical (Structural Heart)

About the role

Edwards' Surgical business unit focuses on unmet needs in cardiac surgery and partners with surgical teams to deliver technologies that improve patient outcomes. The Territory Manager drives sales growth and expands Edwards' market share from Brisbane, covering Brisbane South and the Gold Coast. The role centres on managing key customer relationships, closing new business and providing clinical expertise in structural heart therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Surgical Structural Heart business unit within the assigned territory and/or customer base, drawing on knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to Edwards products.
• Build and manage long-lasting relationships with customers and other influencers in the region, using influencing skills and tact to shape buying decisions.
• Develop and close new business with existing customers, identify areas for improvement and execute a short-term region plan to meet sales targets.
• Perform other incidental duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive medical device sales experience.
• Previous experience in structural heart devices or surgical implants.
• Existing knowledge and network in the territory to be covered.

Preferred profile

• Good knowledge of the strengths and limitations of own and competitor products.
• Understanding of the business unit strategy, selling model, the medical devices industry and the regional selling environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strict attention to detail.
• Ability to explain product features compared with competitors and to build productive internal and external relationships.
