Telephone Operator - Election Support

About the role

HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting a Telephone Operator for an election support project in West Melbourne, near Southern Cross Station. The role supports voters and members of the public with telephone voting registrations and election-related enquiries, working rosters Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm, starting 5 November. The rate is $34.96 per hour plus super.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from voters and members of the public
• Assist with telephone voting registrations and election-related enquiries
• Follow approved scripts to give accurate and consistent information
• Enter and update information accurately in computer systems
• Deliver professional, courteous and customer-focused service
• Follow established procedures when handling calls and enquiries

Required profile

• Available to work full-time hours
• Available for rostered shifts Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Available to start on 5 November
• Willing to complete a National Police Check and a Political Activities Disclosure
• Able to work onsite in West Melbourne

• Strong verbal communication and computer skills
• Ability to follow scripts, procedures and instructions accurately
• Attention to detail when entering and updating information
• Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced environment
