Technical Support Specialist – Energy Software

About the role

Evergen is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join its fast‑growing energy software team. You will provide timely, accurate assistance to end users, clients, and internal teams, helping to keep our distributed energy resources platform reliable and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support via agreed channels, investigating, diagnosing and resolving software, platform and integration issues.
• Manage support tickets, ensuring proper documentation, prioritisation and resolution within SLA targets.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Client Success to resolve complex incidents and improve platform reliability.
• Communicate status, root cause and progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to support documentation, knowledge bases and troubleshooting guides.
• Identify recurring problems and recommend process or system improvements.
• Assist with platform monitoring, incident response and post‑incident reviews.
• Promote a safe, healthy work environment and adhere to company policies.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in IT or Computer Science (highly desirable).
• 2+ years experience in technical support, SaaS support or software‑focused operations.
• Experience with energy optimisation or efficiency platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities across cloud‑based and energy‑management software.
• Proven experience using ticketing systems and managing incidents end‑to‑end.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
